Real Salt Lake MF Williams to miss 4-8
weeks
(AP) - Midfielder Andy Williams will miss
four to eight weeks after suffering a high sprain of his right ankle,
Real Salt Lake announced on Sunday.
Williams, a halftime substitute in Saturday night's 4-0 loss at Chivas
USA, was injured in the 76th minute on a challenge from behind by
midfielder Sacha Kljestan, who was given a yellow card for the foul.
X-rays on Williams' lower right leg showed no fractures, but additional
tests will be taken upon the Jamaican's return to Salt Lake City to
determine the severity of the sprain.
A 10-year veteran of the MLS, Williams
has not recorded a point in one game this season. Last season, he
registered two goals and six assists in 29 games, including 21 starts.
In 199 career games, the 29-year-old Williams has tallied 23 goals and
66 assists.
